Daniel Garcia

Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone

Mr. Garcia, woodwind specialist, has taught private lessons for more than 30 years, including teaching all levels music in public schools as well as university teaching at NMSU. While a faculty member at NMSU, Mr. Garcia was professor of flute, saxophone, jazz band and music history.  He has appeared as clinician and performer throughout the region as well as at New Mexico All-State Conventions.  Mr. Garcia is an active performer, with past performances including tours and/or performances with The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Elvis Presley, Lou Rawls, Wayne Newton, Roy Clark, Danny Thomas, Harry Belafonte and Liberace.  He also was a member of the “Airmen of Note” and the “United States Air Force Band” for four years.  Most recently, Mr. Garcia played woodwinds with El Paso Opera’s Westside Story and the touring Broadway musical Wicked.  Mr. Garcia has a Master of Music in Flute Performance from UTEP and a Bachelor of Music Education from NMSU.
