Violin & Viola Faculty Position

El Paso Conservatory of Music

Job Title: Violin/Viola Instructor

-Violin/Viola position teaching private applied lessons, string quartets/trios

Responsibilities:

-Model and teach outstanding solo violin/viola performance skills

-Model and teach outstanding collaborative string performance and musicianship skills

-Teach all levels of upper strings skills

-Teach applied violin/viola lessons at all levels from ages 3 to adult

-Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

-Master’s level degree in Music (Violin/Viola Performance or Violin/Viola Pedagogy) or comparable professional experience required.

-Doctoral level degree in Music (Violin/Viola Performance or Violin/Viola Pedagogy) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Superior solo performance skills

-Superior Collaborative performance skills

-Superior teaching skills with young children

-Extensive solo repertoire

-Extensive collaborative repertoire

-Significant teaching experience at all levels from ages 3 to adult.

Salary and benefits:

-Master’s Degree $35 per hour, Doctorate $36 per hour
