Job Title:  Early Childhood Music Faculty

 

The successful applicant will be a passionate and talented musician/singer to teach group music classes for children ages 2 to 6 years. The Early Childhood Music Program introduces toddlers and children to basic music concepts while supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through creative play.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a plan for weekly classes according to age group 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of basic music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts in a developmentally appropriate and age-appropriate manner with toddlers, and preschoolers. 

  • Maintain lesson plans and instructional materials for students

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Music

  • Have experience working with young children

  • Fun personality / be able to connect with children

  • Must feel comfortable in an active and noisy setting 

  • Ability to interact effectively with both children and adults

  • Effective time management and organizational skills to keep a group of students engaged

 

 

​Preferred Qualifications:

  • Being creative and proactive

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)

 

Schedule:

  •  2 days a week for 15 weeks per semester and summer classes

 

 

Salary:

  • Bachelor’s Degree $36 per hour, Master’s $41 per hour
